View the first page of our IRS confirmation letter Our HistoryIn February 2002, Mark Holmes and Dr. Ibrahim Sarris of the Sherman Ministerial Alliance began working on a plan to make low-cost medical care available to residents of Grayson County who could not afford health insurance. They persuaded several community organizations, physicians, and community representatives to join in their efforts, and in February 2003, Grayson Volunteer Health Clinic opened its doors in Dr. Sarris' office. The clinic now has a permanent location in Denison, and has recently changed its name to Greater Texoma Health Clinic. The clinic offers several services provided by paid staff and volunteer doctors, nurses, and administrative staff. Patients must meet eligibility requirements and pay a nominal fee according to annual family income and the number of members in the family. Since September 2007, Greater Texoma Health Clinic (as Grayson Volunteer Health Clinic) has been providing full-time patient care for the uninsured in Grayson County. This would not be possible if not for the widespread community support GTHC has received. Thank you, Grayson County!! If you would like more information about GTHC, please contact us.
